The date is set for mid-January, Molly will be spayed but I wish it was today. While Molly isn't my first cat she is the youngest I've owned and the first one that wasn't fixed. For the last three days she has moaned, become super effectionate, and has been sticking her heinie in the air. Aside from the effectionate part the whole thing skeeves me out. The cries she makes is the worst thing and I wonder if half the problem is she smells Newfy all over the place.

I watched "Slacker" (not to be confused with SlackerS) tonight on Hulu.com (yes, free movies that aren't suck-tastic). Richard Linklater's first full-length film previous to his 2nd and more popular film "Dazed and Confused". I first picked this movie up in the mom and pop video store I went to ( this is pre-Blockbuster days) in the summer of 1992 and fell in love with Austin, TX and the crazy and cool hipsters that roamed its streets. I still pine for that summer and the attitude of the time before it was hi-jacked by popular media as "Generation X" and people on the local news started saying "...not".

Anywho Slacker's IMDB page led me to this great anti-war musical number. A few of the people in this group are in the film. Check it out...and check out "Slacker" too:

An uneventful weekend. I ate far too much,including an individual pizza carmine (thin crust with fresh mozzerella and caramelized onions)from Bertucci's.


However I did win an ipod on Friday. 104.1, the "modern rock" station, chose my playlist of 15 songs to be played on Monday night and plus I get the ipod.
